During the summer holidays, one of our Year 6 pupils spent his tenth birthday cycling along the canal from Leeds to Liverpool - a total 213 kilometres! After learning about the plight of refugees, he set himself a challenge to undertake a testing journey like many refugees, and at the same time, raise money for a good cause. The challenge took him a total of three days to complete and he was joined along the way by family and friends, including other Cononley pupils. In total, a staggering £1,119 was raised and donated to to Bradford City of Sanctuary and Bradford African Community, local charities which provide support for refugees.
