At Cononley Primary School, each child in school is placed into one of four houses: Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. Each teacher in school is also assigned a house.

House points

Children earn house points for working hard and trying their best. Individual totals of their house points are kept in each classroom and children work towards achieving the following certificates:  Bronze (50 house points), Silver (100 house points), Gold (200 house points) and Platinum (300 house points). A certificate is awarded once each milestone is achieved and presented in Friday Achievement Assembly. Children in Reception work towards a mini – bronze (25 house points) at the start of the year. In addition, the total number of house points are totalled each week and the winning house is awarded a star in Monday Assembly.

House Captains

In September, Year 6 children in each house write a manifesto and deliver it to the other members of their house who then vote for their preferred candidate.  House Captains are responsible for totalling the weekly house points and for organising inter-house competitions.
